What is Added Security®?
Added Security® Extended Service Agreements are Subaru-backed warranty programs that provide coverage for major components ranging from the engine to suspension components. When a covered component fails, our Subaru technicians will take the time to replace it using a new or re-manufactured Genuine Subaru Part, helping you maintain the durability of your vehicle for the road ahead.
What Plans Are Available?
Drivers can choose from two different plans, with low or zero deductibles and various terms that include 8-years/120,000-miles or 10-years/100,000-miles. Covered repairs come with towing and rental car reimbursements, with comprehensive coverage available for wear and tear, onboard computers, and other items that third-party agreements tend to exclude. Plus, you'll be able to choose from three plans that are covered by the Subaru of America basic warranty, including:
- Powertrain Coverage Plan — Powertrain coverage include major engine, transaxle, and differential components that are used every time you drive your vehicle around Ames.
- Classic Coverage Plan — Classic coverage covers major components ranging from the engine and all-wheel drive system. Other items included with the Classic Coverage include the cooling and fuel system, brakes, electrical systems, and air conditioning system.
- Gold Plus Coverage Plan — Gold Plus coverage covers all Classic and Powertrain items, in addition to modern technology component systems that help you commute with ease near Ankeny, like the EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology suite, STARLINK® Multimedia, STARLINK® Safety and Security, DriverFocus™ Distraction Mitigation, and more.
